Looking for house sit for my 3 older cats for about 3 weeks in June. Leaving about June 6 (could be day or two earlier or day later) and return about June 29 (waiting to find house sitter to make final plane reservations -- if have good sitter would like to be gone a little over 3 weeks) -- to visit my son who's teaching in Tanzania.
Mom, 16 1/2, and her two daughters (15) are sweet and well behaved. No medication or special needs, but found out in January that Pumpkin (mom and a major lap kitty) and Skittles each have lung cancer, so far only coughing spells that are slowly getting a bit more frequent to a couple times a day. They like lots of attention (third, Jacques, can be a bit more skittish) so for this trip I'd rather someone be here to give them some loving instead of just having neighbor feed and clean litter box (they have cat door to go outside, that I block at night as have been coyotes seen nearby).
House is in NE Seattle (in the city), on very quiet street, with lots of trees, but only 3 minutes from grocery store, restaurants, etc. and 20 minutes from downtown (except during rush hour :). Minutes to Burke Gilman trail for biking, walking, running. Easy access form Seattle to mountains, Puget Sound, city life. Light filled with lots of windows, large deck with grill, views of lake from multiple rooms, TV with satellite, new audiophile stereo (and lots of CDs), all amenities in updated kitchen. Master bedroom suite with cathedral ceilings and deck, bathroom recently redone, with large shower, soaker tub, heated floor in shower. Refinished basement entertainment room with large screen and surround sound for great movie watching (though harder to find DVDs these days). High speed internet.
All bills on autopay. Garden (perennials and veggies) and outdoor pots drip irrigation system on timers (about to plant my vegetable garden, so should be things to pick and eat, but no maintenance needed, unless you like to pull weeds when you see them and can't stand not to) -- do need indoor plants watered weekly (more if hot). New heat pump installed in fall, so should be air-conditioning (usually comfortable enough in June to not need and haven't tested yet). So pretty much just keeping kitties fed, watered, and loved.
I'm retired, single, and clean (but not sterile or spotless, house comfy, approachable). I do volunteer work as board president of non-profit around climate change.
