We are musicians and teach music at our Finca for a few months of the year. Our property is a  beautiful ancient off-grid farmhouse with spectacular views overlooking the Mediterranean on one side and the Sierra Nevada on the other side. 

We live a 15-minute car drive from Cadiar town where we shop and 30 minutes from the coast.


We have easy access from a road which leads onto a 100-metre dirt track to the house. We have modern lithium solar energy and a backup generator on the odd occasion there is no sun all day.

We have no pets but a garden we would like looking after, as well as a few jobs to keep the property in order.  

For the winter months, we have a log fire and a gas heater.  The house is equipped with all you need to live comfortably.

I had a wonderful time house sitting for Vicky and David. I stayed from early October to mid December and greatly enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of the location, the many excellent hiking trails in the area and charming local villages. The house itself is comfortable and eco-friendly. I spent a couple of days with Vicky on arriving so she could explain how everything works; contact was very easy both in person and via Whatsapp throughout my stay. If you're looking for somewhere far from the madding crowd I warmly recommend this sit. N.B. A car is essential and you need to cover whatever gas (cooking and hot water) and wood (heating) you use.
