Hi, we are looking for someone to sit our beautiful pets this winter for one or both sets of dates: December 17th to 27th; and January 18th to 31st. Both dates can be somewhat flexible on either end of our trips.
Our dogs are the sweetest souls you're likely to meet. Lucy is the larger 75lb dog rescued from Mexico. Foxy is the smaller rescue from Iran, about 20lbs. Both would require three short walks per day. We do have a fenced yard, so it's easy to let them in/out for 'business time' when you're at home. They are both quiet and peaceful dogs, but will let you know if someone comes into the yard.
We also have 3 cats, all of whom are indoor/outdoor free-feeding cats. They generally never use the litter unless the snow becomes too deep, so they are very self-sufficient and easy to take care of. Two of them like to go along for the walks with the dogs!
Our home is a one-level, open concept, 1500 sq. ft., 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. However, only the master bedroom is used as a bedroom. The other bedrooms are art and yoga studios, with 2 small office spaces. You will also be able to enjoy our hot tub! We have a huge 105" projector TV with surround sound to give you a better experience than any movie theatre!
If you've never been to the South Okanagan, it is known as "Napa Valley North" due to the fact it the largest wine producing area in Canada. And Penticton itself is one of only two cities in the world situated between two lakes. Penticton is consistently ranked near the top of every Best Beer Town list, most recently by Lonely Planet and Expedia. There are also many great restaurants all located within walking distance of our house!
If you like to ski/snowboard, we are located only 30 minutes drive from Apex Mountain Resort. Ideal weather conditions conspire to create incredible, light champagne powder. Apex receives the perfect mix of large amounts of precipitation, combined with low humidity and the dry champagne powder snow we’re famous for, is born! And because Apex Mountain Resort is the only mountain in the Okanagan that faces northeast, those beautiful powder snow crystals are less affected by the sun and the famous light, dry powder snow can survive for days after a snowfall.
There is also a fantastic cross-country ski area near the Resort.
Please message us with any questions if you're interested in pet/house sitting for us!
