ACCOMODATION/AREA
You will be staying in my spacious (720 sq ft) and bright one-bedroom non-smoking apartment in the quiet neighborhood of Cayuga Heights, perfect for walking and enjoying the outdoors. Enjoy a bright bedroom with a king size bed; a sunny living room with multiple tables for dining and working, plenty of bookshelf and storage space, and a comfy couch for relaxing; a fully equipped kitchen; and a large balcony for enjoying the sunshine. The apartment's orientation ensures that it stays cool in summer but has plenty of sun in winter. It's five minutes by bus from the mall, grocery store, and Cornell University. The bus stop is right on the property and passes by every 15 minutes.
Ithaca is full of trails--often with waterfalls, to be enjoyed in all seasons--to enjoy and plenty of restaurants. There are also plenty of u-pick farms and a fantastic farmer's market in Ithaca. Also consider the Cornell cinema, which shows all manner of film classics from all around the world, almost every night. Plus be sure to check out the myriad of restaurants--there's even an Ethiopian one!
Summers boast comfortably warm temperatures (70-80F) and lots of sun, which you'll get to enjoy with the lounge chairs on the balcony!
December-January are the nicest and sunniest winter months--I've heard they boast everything from some light snow to the occasional warm temperatures (you can check out last year's temperatures on wunderground)
Whatever the weather, you'll be able to go ice skating at Cornell, all year round!
Laundry and ample free parking onsite. Please note that I cannot host any additional animals.

Tommy mostly needs company: someone to cuddle and play with. I'll ask you to keep his water and dry food bowls full, clean his litter box daily, give him wet food 2-3 times a day, give him pills 2x/week, and smear medicine in his ear twice a day. He literally doesn't care if you touch his ears, so please don't let this intimidate you. I'll show you how.
As for pilling, the pill popper and some tuna juice to round it off will make it happen before he even notices. On the off occasion he decides to be difficult, he'll still stay where he is--no searching for him under the bed or worrying about scratches/bites/hissing. He's an easygoing guy. Also, please note that when I received the other reviews, he was receiving a different kind of pill, which he had to take more often. Now that he only needs it 2x/week, he is far more chill. If you skip a dose, no problem.

Tommy has kidney and heart disease, but this has remained stable for years. When we visited the cardiologist in August 2023, she said--I quote--he looks fantastic! I completely forget about these diagnoses, because the only impact it has on his care is that he needs a particular type of cat food--which he'll readily eat--and constant access to fresh water.

Tommy is an affectionate fellow. He'll usually come sit next to you when working or lounging on the couch.
If you also water the plants once a week and brush him on occasion, that'd be fantastic!

In winter, I ask you to keep the temperature in the apartment above 60 F.
