My home is in a lovely, safe residential area of San Diego North County in Escondido, California on a 1/2 acre of land in a development called Hidden Meadows. It's a beautiful newer 1-story house with 4 bedrooms/3 baths in a hilly, wooded and populated area 10-15 minutes from groceries and services right off the I-15 freeway. Modern applicances, a security system (no cameras) comfy furnishings and lovely views.
There is a non-smoking/non-drinking woman renter here 3 nights a week who works as a nurse 9 hours on those days and usually reads in her room when she's here. She suggested Housecarers because she had previous success and will happily share the house with a female sitter on those 3 days a week while I'm away. She is also very nice and is great with pets!
I have only one small senior tabby cat - Misty - that I love a lot. She was my Mom's cat and has bonded with me wonderfully over the last 5+ years. She is very affectionate and loves to be petted, especially in the mornings! She is a strictly indoor cat and needs a couple meds, once a day. She just needs water and food replenished times a day, and her 2 boxes scooped every 2 days. She sleeps well at night and often during the day - very low maintenance (although she does 'demand' attention periodically). Given her senior status, my biggest goal is that she knows someone is here for her, spends some time with her, and gives her TLC.
I will also ask that you take the garbage & recycle bins out to the curb once a week and bring them back in. My home is also VERY low maintenance.
I have air conditioning and a whole house fan to keep the house comfortable! I'm only a 25 minute drive to the beach and a 40 minute drive from downtown San Diego if you like to explore.
I love walking around the hilly streets of this community. Gorgeous views out to the ocean at the top of the hill. My neighbors are very friendly and I will arrange with some that you can contact if needed.
