We are looking for a long term house sitter for our peaceful adobe home. We have house plants to tend and a greenhouse for your use, if desired. Our home is located on 15 acres of lovely red rocks with easy access to many places to explore (Jemez Springs, numerous hot springs, Valles Caldera National Monument, Bandelier National Monument, Gilman Tunnels, Bodhi Zen Center). Hiking, biking, skiing are all nearby.

We are working overseas for much of 2024 and are looking for a responsible person/couple to be present and to love our home and the area as we do.

“ Peaceful and Beautiful Retreat in rural Jemez area ”

I spent over 6 months taking care of Gillian and Paul's house while they were overseas doing relief work. Their house is beautiful, adobe, stunning views out the back and front, quite rural and peaceful. Delightful to sit out back watching the hummingbirds in the Spring and summer.

The terrain around the house had a deep peaceful energy which felt very restorative. I often would walk down their dirt road (over 2 miles) from the house and enjoy the views and the peacefulness.

The house is about 45 minutes to Fenton Lake, and to hikes in the Jemez Mountains and Valle Caldera. Jemez Hot Springs was about 20 minutes away.. Jemez Pueblo and visitor center are about 12 minutes away.

There were no pets to take care of, only plants and trees to water and some things to check regularly around the house, pick up mail, make sure that everything was in working order....
