Our home is a cabin located in the mountains above Boise near the Lucky Peak Reservoir. It sits in a meadow at 3000 feet elevation. The cabin is within the Wilderness Ranch Owners Association which provides a sense of community, road maintenance, water, and fire department. The cabin has a wood stove, electric heat and air conditioning. It has one large bedroom, bathroom with shower, a sleeping loft with library, kitchen, living room and laundry room with washer and dryer. The cabin has 360 degree views of mountains and is extremely close to streams, rivers, a reservoir, and hiking and biking trails in the Boise National forest. Relax on the covered front porch, on a private patio in the back of house, or in our well-maintained Jacuzzi hot tub under the pine trees. Boise is in a valley 30 minutes away by car. You may be lucky enough to see the local herd of elk grazing in the front yard or deer or wild turkeys.
We are looking for pet lovers to stay in our clean and comfortable home and care for our two dogs- one 28lbs and one 60lb. They love to take walks with humans and get lots of pets, but beyond that, are pretty low maintenance. We also have a cat who is indoor/outdoor and also low maintenance.
For spring/summer visits we have mountain bikes, SUPs, and kayaks for trips to the reservoir or trails. For winter travelers, we have snowshoes and xcountry skis. Although we have wifi, netflix, etc., this is a peaceful getaway. Close to town but feels a million miles away.
