We are looking for a mature, non-smoking, cat lover individual or couple to be our house sitter for the summer who would take care of the house, our cat, and garden. The garden has a pond that would require periodic care and we expect the sitter(s) to take care of the yard and garden and keep the house well maintained and clean.

The 2 story house is close to the University and the downtown area. Internet is provided. 

We require that sitters be mature in their behavior meaning no parties or visitors, have references and prior experience in house sitting.

This house and pet sit was in a nice quiet area of Lexington, KY. The owners were gentle persons who adore their cat Max who was a pleasure to care for. I was disappointed that the relatively forceful remnants and bands of Hurricane Helene and about ten uninterrupted days of rain took away from the extensive gardening and landscaping work I had done before the owners' subsequent return. Without hesitation, I removed barrels of fallen branches, leaves, and debris. Overall, the sit was a nice experience, particularly getting to know and care for Max!
