We are looking for a House Sitter this May primarily to care for our two indoor/outdoor cats, that need to be kept in at night and will want out first thing in the morning. Also, to keep our home tidy, and to fill-in caring for the yard. We do have irrigation and bi-monthly yard maintenance, so responsibility will be minimal there. note: We are new to House Carers. If you have any questio9n or concesrns please feel free to contact me.
This recently upgraded Ranch Style 3bd/2bth home, is located in a little known about area, an escape from the city, with something for everyone. Everywhere is view property in Tehachapi. Take advantage of that on the back patio, large enough for an area to Bar-b-que, to dine, to lounge and an area for the jacuzzi (maintained seasonally only). We have Wi-Fi and stream programing on our 54" tv in the living room. There is a fireplace in the den and a separate area to dine. Our home is in a country setting, just inside the east Golden Hills Community. The center of town is just 2-mile and the two major grocery stores are 1.5 miles close.
Tehachapi is a small bike friendly, tourist town historically known for the only east/west running mountain range in California, and the Tehachapi Train Loop. Though most recently has become a destination for those, interested in wine tasting, and has a half dozen wineries across the mountain valley, and also a couple of craft breweries in town. Also, at the wineries on the weekends one can attend for the live music and find food and non-alcoholic beverages as well. Locally you'll find many antique and thrift shops, tasty eats including ethnic foods. Also, u-pick farms and orchards, nearby hiking trails, or enjoy a private tour with the Adorable Alpacas, and can also go to local museums, bright lake, or visit the Mountain Spirt Zen, Buddhist temple and gong the bell. While there is much to explore locally there are also a multitude of day trips available from this location. Such as, The southern most Grove of Seqouia, 'Trail of 100 Giants', Kernville, Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley National Park, and many more points of interest. There is a tourist building in town. I keep their magazine at the house and the local 'Tehachapi Loop' paper that will keep you informed of current events.
