We are a therapist and artist who love to travel internationally and are looking for someone to care for our cats while we’re away visiting family.
We have a beautiful large loft apartment in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia with lots of plants, natural light, high ceilings, and two sweet cats (more photos coming soon). It’s quiet and spacious and a wonderful retreat in the city. It has one bedroom with a tempurpedic queen bed and an office/TV room that has a super comfortable king size fold out bed (visiting mother approved). It has an open floor plan, large inviting and well stocked kitchen (Andy used to be a cook), and a washer and dryer in the apartment. The building has a shared roof deck with a shared BBQ grill.
The neighborhood: Minutes from wonderful restaurants, bars, stores, and art venues, with multiple public pools within blocks of us. It’s very walkable and has easy access to public transportation and ample on street parking. Philadelphia is full of history, museums, and culture. The art world here is large and diverse ranging from prestigious museums, opera, symphonies, and theaters to underground and experimental music and performance, galleries supporting local artists, and public art (Philly has been voted the nations best city for street art). Philly in the summer is full of street fairs, free concerts, and outdoor gatherings. There's so much to enjoy here.
The cats: we have two sweet cats, Aspen and Juniper (sisters) who need to be fed twice a day (or once on travel days or if you take a short trip away, etc). They were feral as kittens so take a little time to warm up to new people but will soon be affectionate and playful. Other than feeding (and a few easy meds that go with the food) they're low maintenance and really just need people around. We also have house plants which need to be watered once a week.
We love Philly and our home and are excited for you to come enjoy it!
