We are looking for a home/petsitter for in late October (Oct Nov. 6) who can take care of our sweet 10 year old corgi, Maddie, hand water our house plants and keep our home tidy. Maddie needs feeding once in the morning and again in the late afternoon. She likes short walks in the neighborhood and needs to go out a few times during the day. Our home is a single level classic Pueblo style stucco home on 2 acres of piñon and juniper in a mature, quiet neighborhood. It is 3100 square feet, with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, with an open concept kitchen, den (with kiva fireplace), living room and dining room. The kitchen, primary bedroom and bathroom were recently remodeled. Of the two guest bedrooms, one is set up as an office, and the other has a queen sized bed, dresser and desk. There is a 65" plasma TV in the den with Xfinity cable. Verizon cellular has a strong signal at our house (not sure about AT&T or TMobile). WiFi is also very strong, aided by Orbi mesh repeaters that extend signals throughout the house. Our home sits on a rise which affords spectacular views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains to the east, the Jemez mountains to the west, and the Sandia Mountains to the south. The Saltillo tile floors have radiant heating to keep the house warm in the winter; there are also mini-splits that provide both heat and A/C. We have xeriscape landscaping so there is minimal yard upkeep (though hand watering of our seasonal flower pots are needed in the summer). A front portal and back portal are lovely places to enjoy sitting outside; there is also a propane BBQ. Our neighborhood is located in the NW area of Santa Fe, at the Camino La Tierra exit off the 599. We are 15 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza; 45 minutes from the Santa Fe Ski basin (great hiking in the spring/summer/fall); one hour to Albuquerque; 90 minutes to Taos; and 20 minutes to the Santa Fe Airport. The La Tierra trail system is a 5 minute walk from our home for great mountain biking and hiking. For a small town, Santa Fe offers a remarkable variety of cultural attractions, from museums to art galleries, live music, theater, opera in the summer season, farmers markets, an incredible choice of restaurants at all price ranges, as well as easy accessibility to markets like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.
