Hello, we will need an experienced pet/ house sitter for our 1-year-old rescue Terrier mix and our senior kitty. Our Terrier needs an experienced dog walker as she is still working on some issues. Kitty is pretty laid-back. Feeding for both pets is twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Fresh water must be put out for both daily. Our dog needs a minimum of two 30-minute brisk walks a day, morning & evening. The sitter will be required to keep the indoor of the house clean and tidy and the indoor plants watered (approx 2ice a week.) Someone will come to take care of the plants in the garden.
Our traditional, Mexican-style house is in the small historic town of Tequisquiapan, QRO Mexico. This a popular tourist town for Mexicans located in the middle of the country. It is not one of those towns geared towards non-Spanish speakers, so speaking some Spanish is a plus. The town is located in the wine and cheese region of the country and is about a 30-minute drive/ride from the Queretaro City airport. Queretaro is about 1 hour away.
The house does not have central heating or air as we live in a temperate climate. Expect warm days and cool nights. On warm days the inside of the house is usually cooler than the outdoors. We also do not have a dishwasher or a clothes dryer. We use the clotheswasher water to water our avocado trees so only biodegradable washing detergents are allowed in the clotheswasher. Other than that we have all the "modern" amenities. Cable, Netflix, Wifi, an Alexa device, an electric kettle, a microwave, etc. We also have a small wading/soaking pool. The living/ dining space is open concept and you will have access to one bedroom and one bath. The bedroom has one full-sized bed and two twins which could be pushed together to make a king-sized bed. Mattresses are memory foam with toppers.
A small floor fan & floor heater and plenty of blankets will be provided in the event they are needed.
