Health conscious retired chiropractors, my gifted-with-animals husband is also a retired Major General with top secret SCI-SSBI clearance. Incredibly he connects deeply with all animals two and four legged, winged and finned (perhaps it is only the bag of dog biscuits he carries in his pocket!). He has been responsible for millions of dollars of property and equipment (I call him my responsible Mission Man) and is a wiz when it comes to taking care of spas, pools, appliances, gadgets and machinery. For my part, I meticulously care of your home and your pets. We both shower them with love, presence, love (did I mention love?).
Most important for the transition of your pet to being with a house sitter, we will nurture and spend time with your pet(s), as we enjoy living in a relaxed atmosphere at home, especially the first vital 48 hours for your loved one(s). We do enjoy exploring new neighborhoods for 2-4 hours per day once your pet(s) are comfortable with us. This is all determined by and with permission from your pet(s)!!! Our first priority when we are in your home. We do not charge when pet sitting in an area we want to visit for vacation (unless you require extensive medical treatment for your pets or they require 24/7 assistance).
How did we become interested in pet sitting?
Happiness for us is being with animals! Over twelve years ago, our friends asked us to house sit for a summer while they vacationed and to our glorious surprise we fell in LOVE with this lifestyle: enjoying our love of animals while vacationing and exploring new neighborhoods.
Responsibility: We take our responsibilities seriously. Knowing your pet, understanding the breed, and knowing your pet's daily routine is our first priority when considering a house sit. Therefore please give us some details when contacting us about your pet sitting needs - especially for cats and older animals. We find very few people who truly adore cats and know how each one has its own personality.
Trustworthy and dependable we are both meticulous about ourselves and our environment, and certainly your home, mechanically inclined and excel at light maintenance work, very respective of privacy and neighbors and are quiet. Basically we enjoy life in the moment, nurturing your pets and spending time with them. And, we are thrilled to take your pets with us if they like to ride in the car, walk, bike, hike, or go out for lunch!
We both have extensive corporate backgrounds thus our decision-making abilities and willingness to assist with paperwork is a plus! You can expect daily email updates and pictures of play time for those who desire it. Or, leave on vacation and know everything is in the best of hands.
Let us know how we can be mutually supportive and good luck in your quest for the perfect sitter for your situation. We also carry our own insurance (USAA) and have superlative references upon request. Please note our was created years ago, and we no longer update it as we primarily use Housecarers .

We are an, active 66 & 71 year-young couple, non-smokers, enjoy an occasional glass of wine with dinner only, own our own Michigan home and understand the attention to detail necessary for meticulous maintenance.
For all our friends who know us and we have house sat for, we are pleased to say we are enjoying our new home (yes we have moved again though still in Michigan and do miss the west coast). We do look forward to doing more house sitting on the east coast now. As always we continue to do house sitting on the west coast and Hawaii as well. (Wish we had photos of all "our" pets to post; only started recently taking photos.) Our latest acquired skill set is we are enjoying aquaponics (Dimension One Aquaponics) growing our own food year-round in our basement. As we like to travel we have decided owning fish that are easy to care for is perfect for us. lol
For those of you who are not familiar with us, prior to relocating from CA to Oregon years ago our friends asked us to house sit. We began with a couple of months in Soquel, CA and it opened us to the opportunity of enjoying a winter house sit in Oregon for a friendly kitty. She was adorable spending most of her time outside at she was previously afraid of their dog, and transformed into a lap cat by the time we left. Her owners were thrilled. We accepted this opportunity to determine whether we would enjoy living in Oregon. (Yes, you move quite a bit when you marry an ex-military man.) To our glorious surprise we fell in LOVE with this lifestyle, and yes we did spent a couple of years living in Oregon before relocating (once again) to Michigan. I was able to enjoy my beautiful lakeside home in Michigan for a few years and Stephen decided it was time for trees and land, and we have moved once again to farm country in Michigan. Life is interesting and fun.
In addition to owning over half a dozen homes between us in the past we have always had a deep rapport with animals of all kinds. Our only pets currently are the fish in our aquaponics system, enjoying a lifestyle of self-reliance and self-sustainability while also bein
