My name is Danielle. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
Available to house-sit for short or extended periods, I also welcome the chance to take care of your pets.
I have grown up with animals and was raised on a hobby farm in Victoria, Australia. I gained experience caring for and medicating cats, dogs, chickens, goats and horses and anything else that blew into the backyard, including wildlife.
Since then I have fostered naughty kittens and walked big black labs, cared for a magpie and trimmed goat hooves.
Other household friends have include a Rhodesian-Mastiff cross and a Rhodesian-Labrador cross, a blue-tongued lizard and a number of cheeky cats... I miss them when I leave, but if I can enjoy the company of your pet for a short time, what a great solution!
I am a nurse living in Melbourne, Victoria and my hobby is writing. My motivation for house sitting is to experience new environments that will inspire my writing and to enjoy the company of pets. I would love to spend some more time in the United States and would love the opportunity to combine this with a house sit this year. Especially interested in visiting either Washington, the Olympic Peninsula and surrounds or the northeast states and surrounds, I am nonetheless looking at all areas.
A non-smoker, I lead an active but not fanatical, lifestyle. I enjoy writing, but also hiking and scuba diving - I lived in South East Asia and also Guatemala for a short period, working in the scuba diving industry.
I find inspiration in all settings from fast-paced city life to rural country living an look forward to new cultural experiences. Also keen to travel to Africa.
As a nurse, if your pet needs medication, I have no qualms giving medications and injections. And if your pet just needs a warm lap to snuggle up on, well, I've no qualms with that either.
I look forward to hearing from you.
