We are a retired couple whose primary interest over recent years has been travelling throughout Australia. We are the proud parents of three grown-up children and eight lovely grand children.
We live in a retirement village on Bribie Island and love to house sit as it gets us away from village life for a while. This also allows us to be quite flexible if housesits become available in locations where we would like to visit.
We understand that the reason most people want their home minded is because they want their pets and/or garden cared for. Due to our present situation we have neither at the moment but over the years we have had various dogs of our own as well as minding them for others, and Rob had a part time garden maintenance business during a period of semi retirement.
Neither of us are smokers and, apart from travel our main pastimes are genealogy (Barbara) choral singing and writing poetry(Rob). Our interest in house sitting was cemented when we attended a course on the subject conducted by the University of the Third Age so we have a thorough knowledge of what would be expected of us should you accept our offer to mind your place.
We are experienced sitters and each time the owners were very happy with our services. Throughout our married lives we have always taken pride in the way we have kept our various homes extremely clean and tidy and we would guarantee to do the same for your’s.
