Hello! We are Jim and Julie, an Australian married couple, experienced sitters, who delight in world travel, and wou'd like Australian, Singapore or New Zealand sits in August 2020.
We are careful homeowners ourselves, and know how precious your family pets, valued plants and personal memorabilia are to you. (See our photo gallery or see our personal : :// ) We are STRICTLY non-smokers, aged seventy and sixty-five, mentally and physically active. We live on the glorious Gold Coast, QLD, Australia, and I have an on- line editing and writer mentoring business (see our business with our profiles)
Jim was a farmer until 20 years ago, with experience tending two thousand sheep, two baby kangaroos, one emu, numerous chooks (chickens), three house cats (Himalayans!)and numerous dogs - both working sheepdogs and beloved pets. Jim's late wife Sandra was a rose enthusiast but Jim stayed firmly planted in the vege patch. He later became an Adult Education teacher of English and Communication, and is now a published novelist, who runs a novel writing course.
Julie has owned, maintained, and renovated a sequence of homes over thirty years. As a city girl, she restricted herself to one cat and a budgie. A retired library manager, she likes nothing better than to relax with a book. She is a confirmed environmentalist, obsessive about turning off unnecessary lights, fans and equipment. We like to walk regularly and carry the groceries home, rather than drive.
