Hello , I am a 57 year old farmer, longtime wwoofer and wwoof host. I have worked seasonally all of my life, moving from wilderness positions to city positions around the seasons. I have been caregiving my parents for the last 4 years and I may take some time, housesit or woof to understand my next step.
I am a lifelong laborer and these days, a kelly green electrical apprentice in my second year. I love talking shop, learning new trade tricks, clearing and building spaces. I consider making soil a civic duty. I have tried to stay outdoors, working physically, hands in the earth, close to animals and wilderness work.
As a housesitter, I am considerate, genuine and gentle with all things. I love all animals but cats and dogs, horses and cows take the cake! I love long walks, cleaning stalls, going the extra mile to make sure animals in my care have the freshest water, warmth, attention and exercise.. I also love sitting in sunlight with a book and a pal on my lap or under arm. I am a bit of a homebody otherwise, sensitive to the surrounding plants and birds.
I have my own Subaru Forester. I come with my own shovel and fork. I am hardworking, considerate, enthusiastic and I love building, tools, boating, camping, hiking, medicinal plants and observing the beauty and systems on a farm! I have loads of experience filling woodsheds, repairing buildings, greenhouse building, painting, lasagna gardening, shingling, roofing, some masonry and fencing. Thank you.
So, if you are interested in having a warm, caring, conscious woman care for your animals, plants and the home you love, I am that person.
Many thanks and safe travels to you...
