Located off the coast of North Sumatra (Indonesia), the island of Pulau Weh offers world class diving and relaxed pace of life. Bexplace is on a hill 5mins walk from the beach and village of Iboih, where ATM facilities are available and a selection of shops restaurants and dive centers. The house is set in tropical fruit gardens with fabulous sea views, it's the perfect place to take a break from the fastpace of a western lifestyle and enjoy the tranquillity of simple island life. My home accommodates a single person or couple comfortably, but is unsuitable for children or disabled people, because of it's hillside location there are lots of steps. The double bedroom opens to the terrace giving stunning sea views, lounge has aircon and (unreliable) 3G wifi internet connection, luckily you have the option of using mble data when wifi is down. There's a small kitchen equipped w f/freezer and gas stove, its fairly inexpensive to eat in the restaurants here so most people dont cook much. Bexplace is a simple house offering comfortable living on a paradise island. The housebills per month for wifi, electricity and gas will be around US $40. Pls note: bathroom has traditional asian style squat toilet and rainwater is harvested from the roof (no hot shower or washing machine). The abundant wildlife can get pretty upclose and personal, sometimes a geko or tree frog will visit the bathroom looking for a drink and the fruit garden is frequently visited by monkeys, wild pigs, goanna lizards and fruit bats. I have 1 sociable cat who enjoys keeping people company when he gets to know them. You will be happy at Bexplace if you are easygoing; unpreturbed by the occasional power cut or a dodgy internet connection and dont mind sharing your space with a few wild critters who may wander in. Getting to the island is easy;
Fly into Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). Air Asia flies from KL to Banda Aceh (Indonesia).
From Banda Aceh airport, take a taxi to the ferryport where you can catch fast 1hour ferry or the slower 2hour vehicle ferry over to the island.
