Hi
I am a well traveled early 50's Canadian man. Thus far my journeys have taken me to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Ecuador (Galapagos Islands), Cuba, Costa Rica (twice for over a month each time), Nicaragua and Mexico (countless times).
I speak decent (though not fluent) Spanish. I write and would like to finish a novel I am working on as well as continue to explore further travel opportunities.
I love animals (domestic and wild) and usually volunteer at some form of shelter or rescue center when I travel abroad. Having worked with Vets without borders I have accumulated a considerable amount of layman's knowledge regarding animal health and welfare. Any pets under my care would find themselves doted upon and smothered in attention....I love animals....;)
Over the last few years I ran a small renovation business. I am familiar with all aspects of house repair and maintenance (plumbing, electrical, buiding/carpentry etc I truly am a "Handy" man. I am also very mechanically inclined (I can fix anything...from weedeaters to lawnmowers and vehicles to generators)
I presently reside in Victoria BC Canada and have a particular fondness for Central (and Southern) America. I am, however, open to a wide range of potential destinations (please see list) from the U.S. to Brazil.
I feel well suited to explore this type of mutually beneficial opportunity: where homeowners achieve peace of mind (that their home, property, pets and plants etc are in good hands) while I experience somewhere/something new.
I'd be interested in situations ranging from condos to farms, from beach front to mountain tops. Given the travel and expense involved as well as the planning and logistics, a minimum of three months would make sense.
Let me know your needs....we'll take it from there. I am smart, trustworthy, fun, discreet, quiet, easy going and dependable.
Cheers
Neil
