Introduction:
We are married, non-smoking, retired professionals who love life and travel. We are particularly fond of friendly, gentle dogs and calm cats. We would delight in caring for your companions and looking after your home. We are trustworthy, reliable and conscientious.We have been house sitting for over 11 years.
Why we love to housesit:
We treat each housesit as an adventure, and we find that housesitting has invigorated our lives and made us more active. It provides us with the opportunity to explore new places, and live like locals. We enjoy the companionship of dogs and cats. We have now completed 56 sits, all of which we have thoroughly enjoyed. In the process we have met some lovely pets, with endearing idiosyncrasies. We have received numerous repeat requests. We cannot think of anything better than to sit in the early evening with dogs at our feet and cats on our laps listening to lovely classical music or jazz with a glass of good red at hand.
What we bring to the assignment:
We have excellent references from homeowners and police clearances.We have now completed 61 housesits,and we receive many requests for repeat sits. We have owned pets in earlier years, and have very much enjoyed their entertaining companionship. We have cared for a variety of animals, including horses, chicken and turkeys. The turkeys were named Stuffing and Cranberry (but we did not eat them). We are passionate about animals and their welfare.
We were invited back to Norfolk Island for a repeat sit because the owners said their Labradoodles had thrived in our care. Several days after we left the dogs were still hoping to find us.We have house sat in Victoria on Vancouver Island in Canada for two months, and we have completed six sits in the United Kingdom,including Scotland.After completing a sit in Berkshire,according to the home owner,the Golden Retriever and Labrador waited at the gate for an hour for us to return. I played many games with them,and they obviously enjoyed it.
We are both active and enjoy walking; we will take your dogs on daily walks. We also like reading and listening to music which means that we spend more time with your pets. You can go away on holiday or business assured your pets are in good hands and that your home is well looked after. We take pride in our home and will bring the same care, attention and respect to yours.
