I am a former humanitarian worker (human rights and emergency relief) turned consultant and college instructor, primarily teaching online.
This year, I'm working on the building of an international travel business and am interested in finding house-sitting opportunities that will allow me some focus on these first stages of development.
I have extensive experience with house-sitting (due to the international nature of my work). I form quick and natural bonds with animals of all kinds and benefit greatly from the daily routine needed for their care.
I've loved caring for my own, and other's pets, spent four years working as a gardener/landscaper, and cared for a family vineyard in Sonoma.
I have experienced life in very remote regions, including conflict regions of Colombia, can navigate city life of all kinds and and have a love of discovering new places and communities. Due to the nature of my work I also handle emergencies and unexpected events well.
I'm happy to provide some excellent references. I'm new to this site, but here's a couple testimonials:
A quick note before I hit the hay- thank you SO much for leaving everything in such good order. I’m not surprised you were running a bit late! When we opened the garage door, Briar came out and blinked a couple of times before bounding over to the car. He’s looking so fit and healthy and well behaved, you did a great job with him.
Soup was delicious, flowers so sweet, supplies more than replenished, you’re a perfect sitter and we’ll give you a glowing recommendation any time. I hope we see you back, if not to sit, at least as a friend. Glad we had time to hear some of your hopes and dreams. We wish you the very best.
Have a good trip tomorrow and please keep in touch,
With love and deep gratitude for all you’ve done for us,

"Aimee was a wonderful, easy-to-work-with House Sitter. Everything was left in great condition and the animals were very happy! I would happily invite Aimee back to stay at my home and highly recommend her to any other house sitting arrangement."
I look forward to hearing how we might support each other!
