We are a husband and wife who have now retired after long careers in the field of education (teachers, school administrators, Ministry consultants). We love to travel during Canadian winters and are looking to purchase a holiday home somewhere. We think that house (and pet) sitting might be a good way to check out possibilities.
We own two homes in Yukon and have two (adorable) Siamese cats, so we also rely upon sitters to provide quality care for homes and cats while we are travelling. We will tend to your house and pets as if they were our own. We are extremely trustworthy, responsible, honest, dependable, neat, and organized. We are non-smokers and quite fit, so we will be able to walk/run your pets every day and to take care of gardening and other chores around your house.
Here at home, we have huge lawns, gardens and greenhouses, so we are well able to mow, water, prune and nurture yours. We live in a rural area of Canada so we are also quite familiar with the work required to maintain a rural home.
We also run an in Canada, so if required we are also able to manage one (check-in, check-out, cleaning, maintenance, etc.) in your absence. It can be viewed at:
During a recent sabbatical, we lived and worked in Bermuda. Although we rented a house there, we frequently took care of friends' villa and their two very active dogs whenever they traveled home to England. We also have house/pet sitting experience in Canada and in Mexico. We can provide these references. We have current police checks (RCMP). We both have Canadian and British passports. We are both fluently bilingual in French and English and Liz is functionally fluent in Spanish.
