Our modest home is within walking distance of the bus to San Francisco and about 5 miles from the Oakland Airport. BART and ferries are also nearby. Alameda is an island off Oakland in the San Francisco Bay. We often take walks through a nearby bird sanctuary. There are many good restaurants nearby.
