I'm looking for a catsitter/plantsitter to take care of and love on my 2 cats and look after my home and plants from January 29 - July 6, 2024.
My house is a charming abode filled with art. It was recently featured in a magazine for its art collection. In the warmer months, you can relax and enjoy the breezes in the pine trees from the large second story back deck or watch the world meander by from the front porch under the ceiling fan. There are several beautiful flower gardens (I added 5000+ bulbs and plants in the fall of 2013 so it's a beautiful show virtually year round!), a large tranquil back yard and plenty of cozy nooks in the house to cuddle up with a good book. In the winter months, you can enjoy the gas fireplace in the living room. The neighborhood is quiet and has some pretty wooded streets to stroll.
I have WiFi (did you know that Chattanooga's fiber optic system makes it the fastest internet in the country??!! It's true!) so bring your laptop and Netflix away! :) I also have a big screen TV for those of you who prefer to watch DVDs.
Chattanooga is a very vibrant small city filled with a great foodie scene, interesting shopping and many outdoor activities. In June 2015, it was named by Outside Magazine as "The Best Town Ever!" There are gorgeous mountains and rivers, places to hike, a wonderful art scene (galleries as well as public art) and an energetic vibe. The aquarium has won many national awards and the famous Chattanooga Choo Choo is here as well. I have put together a notebook with lots of interesting things to do and see around town as well as a restaurant guide so you can fully enjoy your time here.
Most of all, I hope you love cats! My kitties (2 of these darling babies!) are very affectionate and attentive. Your lap will certainly not be cold! :) They are both are indoor/outdoor. Marley likes to stay out most of the day in pleasant weather while Amelia prefers the indoors with an occasional jaunt to the back yard. There is a cat door that allows them to access the back yard during the day. I close and lock it at night.
They're all an easy-going and very friendly bunch and they'll make you feel quite welcome here. :)
