My home is located approx 2 miles from Tok, Ak along the Alaska Hwy. There is a bike path to town which goes past our driveway. We are 200 miles from Fairbanks and 350 miles from Anchorage. This is considered rural alaska. We have a Post office, a fairly large grocery store, gas stations, hotels, ect. This is the home of dog mushing in southeast Alaska. Population is people and the town has a school k-12. It is very quite on my property which consists of 5 acres. The house is a redwood sided two story home built in 1989 and remodeled when we bought it in 07. We have Dish network for TV and a wifi system for computers. We heat with oil and have a wood stove, which if used would require some training in order to clean the chimney. To prevent a fire it has to be cleaned monthly. We do it from within the house. No going on the roof. The house is 2500 sq ft with bed rooms upstairs. There is a well for water located in the wash room. There are 2 bathrooms. Lots of windows. We have a heated 3 car garage and shop. We would pay the heat, electric, and DSL/Phone line and TV. Long distance would be extra as would be overage of Computer service.
