I am a non-smoker/drinker who loves animals and gardens. All animals will get the care and attention that they require as I enjoy spending time petting, walking, grooming and just being with them.
My lifestyle is active and healthy, walk 1-2 miles daily, bicycle, swim and garden.
I am neat, tidy, quiet, enjoy books and occasional movies.
I have worked in bed & breakfast in Sweden, New Zealand, Alaska and Hawaii. Also have done work exchange for organic gardens, customer service in hotel, worked sixteen years as a postal carrier, trained in paralegal and worked in law offices for seven years, and worked several years as a veterinary assistant.
My education includes an Assoc. Degree from Univ of Maine in Veterinary sciences, paralegal courses from UCLA, and a Master Gardener's certificate from the University of Oregon.
I was raised on a farm in Maine where we had cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, rabbits, goats, llamas, horses and cattle. We worked hard and were basically self sufficient.
Extremely competent with injections and medications should the need arise. I have cared for diabetic dogs on several occasions. You can be assured of your animals' welfare when they are under my care.
I have traveled around the world and experienced life in many other countries. This has been a very rewarding occupation which allows me to interact with many people in different cultures.
I own a home in Alaska which is rented at this time.
I have many references as to my competence, trustworthiness and excellent rapport with animals.
I am keen on gardening and love to help folks with clean-up, planting and maintenance. Capable of lawn mowing, pruning and weed pulling. I have a knack with starting seeds, they grow rapidly and thrive.
Hard working, reliable, intelligent and able to follow directions. Your home and pets will receive the best of care.
