July thru September 2011 – Finca Los Lagos, Arenal, Costa Rica for Roy and Mary Whaley ( ). We assumed sole responsibility to care for their large home on 8.5 acres of beautiful tropical farm full of flowers, citrus trees, shrubs of all sorts, five ponds of tilapia which had to be fed twice daily fed, and a wonderful black lab named OSO who became our best buddy. Although there was a farm-hand on site Marsha and Tom helped with gardening, insect control, leaf-cutter ant eradication, snake retardation, general upkeep.
invited Tom and Marsha to housesit Steve’s Serenity B&B near Tamarindo, Costa Rica for two weeks in Feb 15, 2012. Although the B& B had no guests we eagerly maintained the house, grounds, and small swimming pool, had loads of fun with Steve’s rescue dog – Dinky. Property may be viewed at and Clare Mowbry ( ) invited Tom and Marsha to care for their house, gardens, four dogs and feral cat on Viequez Island, Puerto Rico between first June to end July 2013. Property sits on ½ acre, consists of tropical shrubs, citrus trees and of course a wide variety of beautiful flowers. Took dogs to beach twice weekly, shampoo and towel dry afterwards.This was an exciting time for all - attesting to the quality of care we provide homeowners.
From Nov. 12 to Dec. 14, 2014 Marsha and Tom provided excellent house-care on 5-acre fenced ranchette in Western Nevada just south of Carson City for homeowners Bob and Nancy Cox ( ). Large 3-bedroom home with solid wood floors, and beautiful kitchen countertops received constant care and attention. Rusty their standard poodle was a joy to behold, a true gentlemen, who daily took us for long walks on the property and surrounding hills.
2014 thru 2019 – ( ) , Cape Coral, Florida, maintained excellent care for luxury home, gardens, pool and two great pups – Sarah, 12 year old Basset hound; Benji – 12 year old terrier mix. Benji wasn’t part of the family until 2015. As comfort to the dogs and assure home security we were at home each evening. Please note: As of October 1, 2019 Tom and Marsha are enjoying our sixth consecutive year caring for Geoff and Janet’s home and two wonderful dogs…this year we’re here for two months. We so enjoyed being with Sarah and Benji that we sold our Houston home, packed our bags and relocated to Cape Coral, Florida; now we are always near our granddogs. We love it!!
Last two weeks of April 2019 Marsha and Tom provided super house-care for Allen and Maggie ( ), Floyd-happy-go-lucky black lab, three Nubian goats – Diana, Florence and Mary; Gabriel the rooster and his flock of four hens at their Asheville, NC property. All was well until we received a deluge putting the property under water, 4” in the lower house. We bailed and hailed until the sun came out. Everything returned to normal; we collected Allen and Maggie at the airport. Yes, we drive homeowners to and from airports - FREE, of course.
Oct 3 – 14, 2019 with Hal and Jacqueline Younglove ( ) and Lambeau, the cutest most active little miniature Schnauzer, locally in Cape Coral. Housecare, cleanliness, and occasional watering of patio plants, daily walk and exercise for Lambeau. During this same period we every-other-day visited their friends home to look-in on the Lulu, the evasive cat – scooped, fed; extensive watering of patio plants. Animal multi-taskers.
