I am semi-retired, a former college instructor, who loves animals and loves to travel. I have several years experience as a petsitter/housesitter, and a life-time of living with animals. I am considerate, clean, responsible, nonsmoking and a good communicator. I love to experience life in different locales, and truly enjoy the company of pets. Petsitting enriches my life! In my spare time I write, do yoga, hike, and swim. When I can, I do volunteer work with animals, or community gardening.
As a petsitter, I am extremely conscientious, and I will manage your home and take care of your furry children as I would my own. I follow instructions as requested, and communicate regularly by or phone, as frequently as you like. I am also a hobby photographer and if you want I can send you photos of your pets and home, for your pleasure and reassurance. I also have a green thumb and enjoy taking care of plants.
Most importantly, I love animals! I recently was certified in Animal CPR and First AId. I have had pets all my life, and have worked as a volunteer in no-kill shelters in animal rescue programs, and with spay/neuter clinics in Mexico. I have had the pleasure of nursing many rescue pets back to health and helped to find them permanent homes. As a result, I am familiar with different animal personalities and am experienced with special needs pet care. I am patient and gentle and will work to make sure your pets are happy and healthy while you are gone.
I am happy to provide excellent references for house-sitting/pet sitting, my work with animals, and personal references as well.
