Our kids are gone, our home is sold, our pets (sadly) have passed away. We have some freedom and are looking for a little adventure before we decide to settle again.
Together we have many attributes that make us great house sitters. First among them would be respect for your home. We will treat it as if it is our own. We are non-smokers. We are both fit and would also welcome physical challenge if needed.
Julie has worked as a personal chef and as a personal assistant - mainly running errands and cleaning homes. She is a wonderful cook, baker and outstanding person!
Chris has been in sales most of his career, but also served as an Asst Pastor of a large church in the Orlando, Florida area for 5 years. He currently works from home - and that home can be anywhere in the world - as long as high speed internet is available. It must be wired, reliable, and fast. We will be happy to pay for if you do not have it. It is a must.
Chris is also handy. I do not have mechanic-level, finish carpenter skills, but I have done a fair amount of remodeling in our homes.
While we no longer have any pets, we love animals - especially dogs, cats, and birds and would welcome the opportunity to care for yours. We've taken care of large dogs and large birds in the past.
Chris speaks some Spanish. He has traveled to Mexico, Guatemala, and Ecuador and believes with more time he would begin to improve. Julie will likely pick it up even quicker than Chris.
We are open to opportunities anywhere. Our preferences include Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, Italy, Portugal, UK, and the United States.
