I am a 44 year old non-smoking female, who spent 11 years in Washington, DC working on domestic and international education projects for a number of non-profits. Last year, I sold my DC house in order to start house-sitting and traveling around the US. As somebody who has spent most of her time in the eastern part of the country, I have greatly enjoyed this time house-sitting and exploring different places out west.
I always kept my house clean and in good repair and would do the same for yours. During ten years of home ownership, I dealt with basement flooding, contractors working on home improvement projects, and acting as a landlord when I rented out the extra bedroom in my house. Throughout my time in DC, I helped numerous DC neighbors while they were out of town by watering their lawns, assisting with garden/yard work, and caring for their pets. I also house-sat for short periods of time for fellow American foreign service officers while I worked at the US Embassy in Warsaw, Poland caring for pets and taking care of their houses.
