We love animals and have had dogs and cats most of our lives. At this time we do have a dog but also enjoy pet sitting for others.
I am a retired public school teacher. I am president of the Lincoln City Community Garden and am on the board of directors of the Lincoln City Library Board. My partner owns an apartment building. He has done extensive construction work ranging from plumbing, electrical, framing, roofing, and cabinet making, and has rebuilt several automobile engines. During college he drove a school bus. This requires extensive training beyond a regular drivers license. He was also an officer and director in a local 501c4 and 2 Special Districts.
We both enjoy gardening and have extensive experience with indoor and outdoor plants and trees.
We have traveled within the U.S., Europe, the South Pacific,S.E. Asia and Mexico. We run an " " in our home. Google , then search Otis, Oregon, we're "Salmon River Estuary Retreat". There are several reviews of our property and our personalities. I am including the " " reference because I feel it is a good example of how we maintain properties and get along with other people.
As we have both been pet-owners and home-owners we understand your need to feel that you will be able to trust the person (s) who will be responsible for your pets and homes.
An update as of March We have recently adopted a 15 month old
dog. This limits where we might housesit--as one of us may sit without
the other. I have several girlfriends who would possibly accompany me.
We would also like to "bring" our dog if that is ever an option.
And last but not least we prefer the warmer climates November--May
as we like to get out of the Oregon rain!
