We are looking for a housesit in the Southern Highlands or NSW South Coast, or Gold Coast. Have a look at our references and you will see how experienced we are.
About us: I was born in England and travelled to Australia in my 20s and have stayed here. I work part time as a social worker/TAFE counsellor (with lots of long service leave) and my partner is a recently retired high school teacher. We live in Newcastle, NSW. Our much loved elderly Jack Russell cross died a while ago, and we are travelling before getting another dog. We have done many house sits (dogs, cats, chooks, cattle, horses), and I was a pony girl, growing up, and worked as a jillaroo for a short time when I first arrived in Australia from the UK. We had a pool of our own for several years and we love gardening.
We are regularly invited back by all our housesits, and remain friends with lots of them.
We are both non-smokers.
We like to keep busy on housesits, and this can be doing tourist things, or it can be by working on the property or with the animals. On our Tasmanian housesits we worked extensively in the gardens and berry picking. On a recent Lismore housesit, we worked in the large native gardens, accompanied by Ziggy the dog, and often Kitten the cat, and 2 hens (to see what worms we might uncover!). We have housesat in WA, looking after the lovely Jake, and in 2018 we went to Europe, housesitting in Paris and England. In 2019 we have returned to a Sydney housesit a few times, to care for dog in chemotherapy.
We are happy to keep in touch with you whilst away, to give updates on the animals and the property. This can be by , s, text or phone calls.
If you would like us to housesit for you we would love to hear from you!! We can if you would like to talk with us. Check out the references and police checks on our profile, and we can give you other references and contact details for referees if required. Please note some of our references are older, but we have returned a few times and the house-owners would be very happy to talk with you.
