I'm a responsible house sitter with experience taking care of dogs, cats, fish, chickens, and beetles (interesting story there). I love animals, and I'm happy to send you pet updates while you're gone, if desired. I'm in excellent health, don't smoke, and love getting outside to bike and go on walks.
I enjoy taking care of cats; well-trained, friendly dogs; fish; and other animals. What do I mean by well-trained? That a dog obeys basic commands (sit, stay, come), is friendly to all people (not just its owners), and can walk on a leash if you live in a city. That describes my dog, and I hope it describes yours! My dog doesn't come house sitting with me, by the way, unless you want to meet her. It's all about your pets while I'm in your home.

-an apartment in Baltimore, Maryland for one week
-a house in San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico for two weeks
Animal care experience, 5 dogs, 6 cats, and 7 chickens, including:
-a pug/miniature pinscher mix raised from a puppy to the present, three years old. She stays at home with my partner while I travel. She's had kidney trouble for the past two years, so I'm experienced in spotting the signs that a dog isn't feeling well and determining whether or not to go to the vet.
-other dogs, including a cocker spaniel, pit bull mix, German Shepherd mix, and border collie mix. The border collie mix is a rescue dog I took care of in my home for two months until I found her a loving, permanent home.
-two cats for 10 years.
-taking care of neighbors' and friends' cats, several months combined
-chickens for two years. Helped my partner raise several from chicks. I'm conscientious about making sure chickens are locked up at night and safe from predators.
-dermestidae (beetles used for taxidermy) for three weeks, watering them and making sure they had enough warmth in their habitat.
