We are a caring couple, a retired physician and retired teacher/IT professional/project manager, who love to help others. Our entire professional lives have centered on helping others and it gives us great pleasure. Because of the satisfaction it brings, we want to continue to help others in our retirement years. We have found caring for others pets and homes while the owners are away (and giving them peace of mind that all is well cared for) to be very rewarding.
We have participated in and led mission trips to Mexico, Haiti, and Namibia to help people in those communities. Mission trips and Habitat For Humanity builds have allowed us to the opportunity to learn how to dig footers, build fences, lay tile floors, frame walls, and repair electrical and plumbing systems. As part of an Early Response Team, we have helped with flood recovery efforts.
Owning homes (most recently for 22 years) and rental property instills in us respect for the home and grounds. We enjoy home maintenance and gardening. We raise fruit, vegetables, and herbs in our urban garden. Nothing tastes better than our homemade raspberry jam! We have owned many pets during our lifetimes who we dearly loved, particularly Mickey, our chocolate Labrador who recently passed away. We have owned several dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, parakeets, chickens, rabbits, and frogs. We would like to help you by giving exceptional care to your home and pets while you are away. We will give you peace of mind so that you can enjoy your time away, worry-free.
We are happy to provide you with references from previous clients.
