I was a homeowner for ten years and worked for a property management company during this time. I enjoyed the homesteading life--creating my own food sources from gardens and processing this. I had chickens, dogs, and cats. I have mostly lived in Maine all my life and am familiar with winter life--snow and wood stoves! I grew up here, on 65 acres of land in the country where we built our own house. I have a Bachelor degree and continue educating myself in my areas of interest. I am working as an Aromatherapist and am also writing. I enjoy hiking and the outdoors. I would like to broaden my horizons in other locations, while being a positive asset to a homeowner.
I have completed a one-month housesit in Pennsylvania on the Delaware River, caring for three large dogs. The owner is the founder of the Upper Delaware Community network within her community. I was a caretaker at a camp on a pond in Maine for an owner who lives out of state. I was host for this B&B, which I loved. The owner is a helicopter pilot, and a world traveler. I have rented a room from a homeowner and have provided some property caretaking services for her. In addition, I have helped her care for her mentally disabled adult son. Most recently I completed a one-month housesit on Searsport Island in Maine and caring for an elderly dog. The owner is an Artist and avid traveler.
I understand being a homeowner, and your home being your most valuable asset. I respect this and would never take an assignment that I did not feel I could comfortably take care of the needs of the property. I am trustworthy and competent. I love animals and enjoy caring for them as a special part of the assignment. I am also a certified Maine Master Gardener.
