I began housesitting in the autumn of 2014 and knew almost immediately that this was the way I wanted to enjoy retirement! Since then I've traveled all over the western US and Vancouver Island and am more eager than ever to continue the adventure in parts unknown.
My career and family obligations are long over, so your beloved pets and home are always my number 1 priority.Over the years I've loved and borne responsibility for the pets my children acquired that were the usual to the bizarre -- from dogs and cats to chameleons, rats, snakes, and chickens.
I bring a broad range of experience that has been directly relevant to performing my duties as housesitter -- I owned a number of my own homes and will treat your home as I cared for my own. For a number of years I was a nursing home administrator with responsibility for operations and maintenance supervision, and have hired and supervised repair crews both professionally and domestically. I lived in Taos New Mexico for a long time and worked in vacation rental managment and know what to look for in day to day upkeep and crisis management.
