DESCRIBE YOURSELF AND WHT YOU LOOK FOR IN A HOUSE SIT

Protecting your property and pampering your pets, plants and possessions (even people) is my motto for house/pet/senior sitting. I would give yours the same care, consideration and competence that I did my own, as well as being responsible, reliable and resourceful.

I would treat your home as if it was my own. And take care of your pets with the same loving attention and care I have given mine.

I realize that entrusting one’s belongings, home and precious pet family is not always easy. I’ll respect your privacy and property. With me, you can have peace of mind and be worry-free, so you can focus on having a productive business trip or enjoying a stress-free, relaxing vacation. I also can keep your home occupied when it’s on the market. Having sold several homes, I know what is needed.

ABOUT ME

I am a mature, compassionate, responsible, independent, and comfortable with my own company, woman. I’ve owned homes for 35 years. I love animals. And miss mine (all passed now). I’ve lived in seven states, visited six countries and done sits in six states.

I understand the importance of having reliable and safe house/pet sitters — it was sometimes a challenge for me to locate them for my own home. I/you want someone trustworthy and dependable.

ARE YOU EXPERIENCED?

I’ve done almost twenty sits (some of which are repeats), with and without animals; with and without gardens or indoor plants.

I have handled what I could (most things) and occasionally have had to call someone in (with permission of homeowner) — like when the well stopped working because it had not been installed properly.

The bottom line question is, “What is needed?”. Then doing it.

I do understand the emotional bond people have with their property, respect that, and will do what is needed to make it a seamless, lovely experience. I also understand the stress on our pet family when their human is gone, so pampering, paying attention, and playing with them is vital.

WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO THE ASSIGNMENT?

I’ve owned various homes for 33 years. I know how to do what's needed or to find the help I can't do myself. I'm resourceful and a problem-solver. I like to be preventative and proactive, so if I see something needs to be done before it gets critical, I will do it.

I will ask you what is needed for you to be comfortable, then endeavor to do that. I can stay in touch if you want or take care of things myself if you’re completely off-grid or just want a time out. I will do tasks that you assign. And do other things as the need arises. You can have peace of mind of knowing your home will be kept in excellent condition and will be diligently watched over. When you return your place will look lovely and clean.

It's hard enough for our animal friends to have us gone, but adding the stress of being boarded and not having loving companionship is hard on them. I can offer your pet family love, attention, care and consideration.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

I'd be glad to share my resume with you. I've been a coach, counselor, speaker, editor-in-chief of a national magazine for 20 years.

The transferrable skills from my work are that I have a healthy work ethic, a maturity that brings knowledge and wisdom, am curious and problem-solve, can be counted on, finish what I start, conscientious, disciplined, capable. I am also professional, intelligent, organized, a self-starter, grounded as well as creative.

People who have used my services have consistently said I was “dependable, reliable, trustworthy, competent, respectful, honest, caring, attentive to details” with their property, pets, plants and even people (I've been a companion to elders). References, with letters and contact information, given when I apply for a sit or by request if you’re perusing sitters.

Interests: I love to dance, whether it be ballroom dancing, rock ‘n roll, or the 5 rhythms/wave. I like to commune with nature. I like playing games and cards. Singing is fun. I am a true blue Vikings fan. Sitting around and having in-depth conversation is my idea of a good time. Reading and exploring the library or web for information. I am conscious of my footprint on the earth, am spiritual, and want radiant health.
