Thank you, for taking a look at our profile and thinking about us, as your personal .
We are Sandra and Sören.
A happy, calm, animal loving and open minded couple, since we met in our early twenties.
Both we are born and raised in Germany.
Sandra studied Photography and Media Design and reached a Bachelor of Arts in Photography. Soren studied computer science (BA).
While Soren is remotely working in his job, Sandra additionally has made a Diploma as a professional copy writer, to ensure constant possibilities to work remotely.
In 2016 we decided to travel the world and become digital nomads and full time housesitters. This was the best decision we have ever made. We truly love the lifestyle we have chosen.
Of course you would like to know, if your animal family makes a match with us. We are happy to answer the most common questions for you.
*Are you experienced with animals?
Absolutely yes. We both grew up with a little zoo of rescue animals, such as cats, dogs, horses, hamsters, mice and birds.
We also have worked with dogs in our home animal shelter, making it easier for them to find a forever home.
Sandra learned to ride horses, before she learned walking herself. She is into natural horsemanship and an absolutely experienced horse girl. When she was 24, she lived six months in Namibia, training young stallions for the farmers' families.
We have always been pet people and are able to handle many situations.
*Are you experienced house-sitters?
We started housesitting in 2015 over vacation and have housesat over 20 times around the world, since then. When we decided to travel full time in 2016, we also decided to housesit full time along the way. Housesitting allows us to connect our much needed daily routine, with our love of exploring new places and of course, of being with animals, which enriches our life every day. We have lived in our own property for many years and know what it means to run a household. We are absolutely reliable and trustworthy people, who know the importance of a well kept relationship of trust, between the home-owner and the home-sitter.
*Do you also care for our plants, garden and pool?
Of course we do. We enjoy being and working in the garden. Sandra loves caring for the plants, while Sören is mowing the lawn. We keep the pool clean, sweep leaves, fill up the birdhouse and do everything around the house and garden, that has to be done.
*Can you arrive one or two days earlier, to get used to our daily routine?
This is usually the way we handle it and the way most homeowners prefer it. Getting to know each other, gives the homeowner a better feeling during their own travels and for us it is very important to be introduced to everything and being able to ask questions, before the homeowners leave.
*How does your daily routine look like?
When we get up, we first let the dogs out or go for a walk. Then the animals and we will have breakfast. We work remotely, which means, that we will work from your home on our laptops, about 5 to 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. That for, a safe internet connection is needed. We work during the day and will be around the animals most of the time. We go for a long walk (about two hours) once a day around noon/afternoon and usually do two 30 mins walks, one in the morning and one before bed, when caring for doggies.
We eat green and healthy and try to avoid animal products of factory farming. We are no vegetarians. Sandra eats gluten and milk free. The weekends we enjoy hiking, going for a movie or relaxing with a good book in the garden. If possible, Sandra goes horseriding.
*How often will you send us updates?
As photographers by heart, we love to take beautiful pictures and videos of your furry family. We usually update you every other day.
*Do you charge for housesitting?
No, we don`t. We believe housesitting is a give and take.
Can we meet up, give you a call or with you?
If we are close by, we are happy to meet up with you. Otherwise, we can offer you a call or a chat with us.
