We are a mature couple who enjoy traveling and exploring the world. Marian is a freelance editor and writer, Mark is a quality control supervisor in the food industry. We own a house where we have lived for twenty-five years.
We love all animals and have shared our lives with four dogs (Basenji, Doberman, Labrador, and Curly-coated Retriever) and two cats (Himalayans), and tropical fish.
Marian was an editor and contributor to Modern Dog magazine for seven years and has trained and shown dogs in conformation, obedience, lure-coursing, and agility. Mark traveled extensively in his career and has visited every continent except Antarctica.
We are non-smokers and we do not drink alcohol or use drugs of any kind. Your wine cellar is safe with us!
Marian is also a musician, singing at festivals and community events, and very active in the local folk music society.
For us, house-sitting is an opportunity to slow down the often-hectic pace of travel and really get to know a new place from the inside. We have completed three very successful housesits, in Thailand, Canada, and the United States.
