After serving in the USN, I have worked in many fields and it has made me a bit of a Jack of All Trades. The restaurant industry through all the steps to Ownership, sailboats-racing and delivering, motor yachts-delivery and charter, flying-personal enjoyment, but mainly I have enjoyed a successful career as a mega yacht sea captain in the charter industry worldwide. Oversaw refitting of major Yachts. Raised two children. Became General manager and Director of Operations for a major mega yacht builder. Retired in 1999 and traveled with the family over the summer then settled in Central Florida opening a small wood shop where we rebuilt and restored fine wooden runabouts. The kids finished up school at UF. Sold my business to a larger group last year and retired, again. Still very active and looking for fun things to do the idea of HouseCaring seemed like a sensible and enjoyable way to see a variety of places and stay active. Kathy and I are going to be available in 2017, the kids grown and gone and we're looking forward to a variety of opportunities and places to visit. We have a loving 11 year old dog that is a real lover. We can move around by RV or maybe fly to locations depending on requirements.
