Cecilia and Brad, married, retired (University professor and GIS analyst), from Arizona. We love dogs and cats and have lots of experience with both. Started doing this in 2016, we have cared for dogs (Labs, Golden Retrievers, mutts, Shar-Pei and others), young and old, active and infirm. Cats of all types from Persians, Siamese, Ragdolls, to Bengals, young and not-so-young. All much much loved by us!
We are avid readers, Cecilia writes, Brad reads, we like to watch great movies. If this leads you to imagine us as "couch potatoes" we are definitely not ... We are active, healthy, and good hikers. The non-smoking part helps to stay fit! Cecilia also loves to cook, and is always trying out new dishes.
We love animals and believe strongly that they need attention, love and care not simply food and water.
We understand the need to stay communicated in today's world, so we keep pet owners informed on the status of your loved furry ones, home, and plants. We know that your pets are your family too.
We still own our home in Flagstaff, Arizona (gateway to the Grand Canyon). So, although we're leading a nomadic life we have a home base. We decided to do this as long as we have our health and energy because there are simply too many beautiful places on this planet that we'd love to see.
We have excellent references, and a "can-do" problem solving disposition. We've lived in the US, Mexico, Chile, and have had extended stays in Canada, France, French Polynesia, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK.
We can keep a home well maintained, and plants happy. We were hosts for 2 years in Flagstaff (our home of 20 years) with 100 + positive reviews from happy guests. We have been guests in North and South America always receiving 5 star reviews for being considerate, tidy and respectful of other's properties.
We had our beloved Pearl (rescued cat, see her picture in the listing) for 13 years, lost her in 2016 to kidney failure and are still heartbroken. She was our soul mate.
We are looking for a housesit either urban or rural for anywhere between 1 week and 6 months. If outside the US the availability of good public transportation is a definite plus. We can handle stairs well, enjoy rural life as well as city life. We own a vehicle in the US, and have even driven extensively in Mexico ...
Write to us and tell us about youselves and your pets, we'd love to hear from you. Thanks!
