I am an active, thoughtful animal and plant lover with a curiousity for travel and the outdoors. I have worked in customer service, supportive home care, and in a greenhouse and landscape business so I am not afraid of hard work. I do not currently have fur babies of my own but grew up with a Samoyed, Labs, a Pomeranian, and countless cat rescues. I have also pet sat for friends and family many times -- working with rabbits, german wirehairs, argentinian mastiffs, muts -- so I know how to handle all kinds of animals, big and small! I have grown up caring for fish and lizards as well and have spent a lot of time at two local shelters.
Although young, I consider myself an old soul. I enjoying caring for other beings and I appreciate the small, simplicities in life. I enjoy cooking and cleaning -- and take pride in both. I am fit, live a healthy lifestyle, and have been vegetarian for about two years. I believe what you put into your body is essential to overall health and wellness -- in mind, body, and spirit, and that being active also nourishes the three. I will care for your sweet animals and home with this in mind. I am motivated, friendly, and independent. I very much value cleanliness and hard work, and have learned small trade and 'fix-it' tasks while traveling and living on my own (I am originally from Minnesota so yes, I know how to work a fireplace and shovel snow!).
I would prefer a medium/long term situation where I may be able to have a part time job as well. I also do a lot of art work from home. I am most comfortable with dogs, cats, chickens, birds, fish and lizards -- not so much so with horses but willing to learn. Having a garden is a plus :) I recently finished up an 8 month house sit in Flagstaff, AZ for a wonderful family with the sweetest fur babies. Of course, I am happy to share personal and professional references as well as a clean background check.
Life is one grand learning experience, I look forward to connecting with you and treating your home, animals, and community with the same love and respect you'd treat them with. Thank you!!
