Introduction:
We are a fit, active, non-smoking and responsible American couple. We are also homeowners who engage sitters so we know it is all about the pets that we leave behind. We particularly enjoy the companionship of pets on our travels as they make us feel at home wherever we may be.
We know from personal experience that having capable and caring sitters makes leaving home and your pets a lot easier.
As your housesitters, we will follow the routines for your cherished pets and will provide extra cuddling and attention so they feel reassured in your absence. We are quiet, relaxed, neat and tidy folks who will respect your home and privacy. We have police checks and references and will be happy to keep in close touch with you by or phone while you are away.
We are financially secure travelers, not tourists dashing from one site to another. We are essentially home bodies (who love to travel), preferring to stay home in the evenings, cook our own meals and enjoy a book or play with our 2 cats.
As for pets, over the years we have had and cared for: dogs, cats, and fish. Currently, we are owned by a beloved shaded cream Persian and a handsome blue point Himalayan. They keep us young and active!
Gary’s 20 years as a Masters Level Registered Nurse has given him the ability to anticipate and solve problems before they happen. Because of his experience as an Emergency Trauma Nurse, Gary is able to remain calm and cool in all situations and can quickly triage emergency situations for the best possible outcome.
Mary Ann taught children with Special Education needs from grades one to eight for more than 12 years. After teaching, she spent 18 years as an Administrator of Special Education Services, a Director of Pupil Support Services and a college instructor at a local community college. Her skills of adaptability, attention to detail, leadership, empathy, organization and communication (oral and written) are some of those that she brings to house sitting.
Because we enjoy animals, meeting new people, exploring new places and being of service, housesitting is our perfect match. In short, we are the sitters that will let you sleep like a baby, knowing that your home and pets are cared for, loved, protected and leaving you with “no worries”!
