I sold my house in the U.S. and decided to hold off buying another. I now own a house in Costa Rica and have spent much of the past 10 years there. BUT... Covid has me locked out for the forseeable future! Ouch! The result is, I am ready, willing and able to home sit/pet sit after August 25.
My house/pet sitting experience is mostly for family and friends since 1999. They know me. They trust me. I'm pretty darned good at it. (References available on request.)
I just finished a stay in Southern California, with a couple awesome kitties! ( it was my fourth stay there in the last year).
ALSO...While down there in June, I had an opportunity to stay temporarily in a home where the owner was being moved to an assisted living situation. It was sudden and traumatic for the family. Decades of dad’s possessions (and his beloved dog) were at risk. I felt really good about helping this family during a particularly difficult time.
I have experience with other estate situations, including my father’s home when he passed, It was a huge project. I lived in the house and managed preparation for the Estate Sale, serious cleaning and yard/home maintenence. Securing the property and possessions was a top priority.
l am able and willing to go ANYWHERE in the continental United States, but most of my experience has been on the west coast. (Did I mention I LUV to travel?)
This “estate sitting” concept seems to have potential. Please let me know if you agree and might have a need I am still available for regular house/pet sitting, also.
