Hi, I am looking for a house sitter to look after my house while i am away overseas for 6 weeks, which includes minding my sweet and affectionate Jack Russell Terrier - Toby (male, 6 years old) and my beautiful cats - Daisy (female, 4 years old) and Lucy (ginger, 1 year).
My home is simple but comfortable with reverse cycle air- conditioning. It's a decent size but not so big that you need to spend all of your time maintaining it. The house needs general cleaning to keep it tidy (including cleaning out 3 cat litterboxes and vacuuming, as the animals do shed fur). My home has 2 bedrooms, a study, and 1 bathroom, making cleaning quite easy.
I have a good sized yard with table and chairs for enjoying time outdoors. The yard does need to be maintained, which consists of mowing lawns and also some weeding from time to time.
As far as looking after the animals go, i would like someone who likes both dogs and cats.
Toby (my dog) require walking at least every second day and he lives indoors the majority of the time. He loves stomach rubs, snuggles and also makes for great company.
I would prefer that you arrive a couple of days prior to my departure (starting on the to become acquainted with my pets and their daily routine, helping them to feel more settled when i do leave, and to also discuss other household details, etc.
I live in a quiet, suburban neighbourhood, and I am located not too far from a beautiful river where I often take scenic walks. It is also great for having picnics and relaxing. I am situated close to the blue mountains and near lots of fantastic bushwalks/hikes for outdoor lovers.
I am very close to a bus stop if you don't drive, and have a little shopping centre that is a stone's throw away, making it very convenient to buy groceries etc. I have a large westfields shopping centre which is a 10 minute drive away, where there are plenty of stores and cafes, for all your shopping needs.
