Hello! My name is Simon Blair, and I'll be traveling through Europe and Asia over the next year and a half. The purpose of this trip, for me, is to both soak in the culture of the regions I'm visiting and write as much as possible. Having the opportunity to house sit would fulfill both of those needs, not to mention that I absolutely love animals and will seek out any opportunity to care for them.
I'm a very experienced House and Pet Sitter, though I'm new to this site. If you were to allow me to Housesit for you, you would find, upon your return, a pristinely clean house (I used to work as a caregiver and cleaner at group homes for developmentally and intellectually disabled adults), a very happy and well-fed pet (I've had, and cared for, numerous dogs, cats, birds, rats, etc.) and probably a few small gifts or prepared dishes as tokens of appreciation. I've also tended gardens and made minor household repairs in the past, and would be glad to utilize these skills at your request.
I'm originally from New Mexico, in the United States. Over there, I taught for a non-profit organization. While the job was tremendously rewarding on an emotional level, it didn't exactly line my pockets with money. So as a traveler with a big heart but a thin wallet, the chance to housesit for you would help me to fulfill a dream that would otherwise be untenable.
