Matt and I (Marilyn) have been together for just over four years now. We met in college and instantly connected. Since we graduated, we have been traveling the world! We worked and lived in Thailand, South Korea, and Vietnam. We taught English in these countries, but now, we teach English on the computer, so we teach anywhere we go!
I am originally from a small town in New York State in the U.S. I am a fun, bubbly, and exciting person. I love to have a good time with a few friends and Matt (of course!). I enjoy working on our travel blog/podcast, watching plenty of TV series, learning Spanish, drinking tea, exercising, eating, and overall enjoying life!
As for Matt, he is from NYC. He is actually quite similar to me! He also enjoys watching football and baseball and managing fantasy sports leagues. He's loving, caring, and free-spirited-- much like I am!
We both have a strong love for animals. I grew up with cats my whole life and loved every moment of it! I have had 3 cats. My family and I got a pair of ginger tabby kittens when I was seven years old. One of them unfortunately passed away within just a few months, but we quickly found our other cat another companion-- a gray Tabby! Our gray tabby lived until she was 13 years old and the orange tabby just recently passed away at the whopping age of ! During all of those years, I never neglected them of food, love, catnip, and cuddles!
As for Matt, he and his family have had a Rottweiler since he was 14 years old. She is a big softy and because of that, neither of us are nervous with any big dogs because they're all big softies to us! He helped raise her and take care of her, even when she hurt her leg and needed help climbing stairs. He always made sure she had enough food to eat, water to drink, and toys to play with. He's her designated tug-of-war partner, too!
Since we are always on the move, we have unfortunately never been able to adopt a precious pet. But, since we love both animals and traveling, we think that housesitting would be the perfect opportunity for us!
