I'm an active, energetic retired artist who traveled for over 20+ years while my husband was active duty military.
During those days of moving from base to base I've participated in countless neighborhood pet sitting exchanges.
As a bead weaving and needlework design artist, I am able to travel lightly, and during my 13.5 years in the Florida Panhandle, I met other artists who invited me to stay in their homes and pet sit while they were vacationing.
Housesitting and being of service is an adventure that allows my love for animals, travel, being in nature, walking and communicating with others to merge so I know you'll be happy with my protective care and fondness for your precious babies.
During my life, I have had 4 beautiful domestic felines and there's no end to the joy, laughter and love that each one extended during their time on earth.
My first kitty, Tiger, lived until he was 18.5 years and I have no doubt he is still chasing the caged bell-in-a-ball up and down 3 sets of stairs of a tri-level structure somewhere in the unknown.
Dogs seem to know that I enjoy pets as I've never met one who hasn't immediately crawled up into my lap and made themselves at home by licking my face. Most of my extended family has dogs and I see how much more loving, loyal and welcoming dogs are so I also have a sweet spot in my heart for them.
I'm a responsible person who will leave your home as it was when you left and in the past (before pet and housesitting agencies were online) I have cat-sat for Canadians who leave the US for a month or so and return to find their pets have been in capable, loving hands.
I look forward to meeting you, to interact with your pets and let the magic begin as they entertain me with their unique personalities!
