Why I want to house sit
I'm looking to be a House/Pet Sitter while I develop my business online and save money to be able to afford a place for myself.
I enjoy exploring new places, in particular in nature and pet sitting allows me to do that. I also really enjoy spending time with animals as I do not have currently a pet.
If you were to entrust your home and pet with me, you would find both well cared and loved.
My experience
I’ve always been an animal lover. When younger I enjoyed the connection I had with my dogs. I do not currently have a pet, I have been pet sitting quite a bit this year.
My recent experience has given me insight on how I can pay attention to the animal I am caring for and how I can intuit and sense their needs. I notice their habits and enjoy providing them with what they need.
I do mindful walking with dogs. Following the owner’s instructions and requirements for the pet, I will provide walks where I am present to the dog’s needs, making sure that both exercise and fun is had in equal measures. A happy and healthy animal makes me happy.
I have learnt loads from my experience with different dogs. I have spent both short term and long term with pets; different sizes and breeds (from a 5-10kg pet to an over 50kg one); different walking styles - on lead and off leads walks. I have had to put eye drops, give pills and in one case adhere to a daily medication routine.
This year I have also looked after a 2 year old cat named Bilbo.
