We are a professional semi retired couple well versed in all aspects of thoughtful, responsible and considerate home stewardship. I am a retired Mechanical Engineer and still occasionally practices as a consultant, and Tricia continues to supply as an occasional Elementary School Principal.
As experienced house sitters, we take great pride in ensuring that your house is safe and kept tidy. We enjoy looking after pets and several cats and dogs have been members of our family over the years. Our last pet was a Border Collie who was always up for a walk and loved to roam our 5 acre property. When our children were small, they had pets/cats of various breeds and sizes, and also tropical fish. Pets are an integral part of the family and we will always put them first!
We view house sitting as an adventure that allows us to see new parts of the world locally and are super flexible on duration and location! Housesitting provides us with the opportunity to keep engaged, exploring and becoming part of a community rather than just visiting as tourists. We love to experience what is unique and special about each place we visit, and really appreciate exploring the countryside, the ocean, scenic locations and local historical buildings and architecture.
We are both health conscious and non-smokers. Tricia can outwalk most dogs: our last pet was a Boarder Collie who was always up for a walk. When our children were small they all had pet cats of various shapes and sizes, and also tropical fish. We will always put the animals first! We know pets are an integral part of the family.
Over the years, we have owned, renovated and maintained several homes including houses with swimming pools, and take great pleasure from meeting the needs of homeowners who are particular about their property, pets and valuables. Both of us have the skill sets required to maintain residential properties in a proactive manner to avert untoward incidences and attend to repairs as needed. Martyn is a skilled renovator/builder and he has come up against and coped with just about anything that could happen in a house.
Fortunately the Canadian winter allows us to relax a little from the hectic summers. Unfortunately, it’s cold! Therefore we like to venture to warmer climates for the winter months. We would love to care for your pets and home so please contact us for a friendly chat to discuss your needs.
